In the summer of 2015, Simpson began work at the school — waterproofing the below-grade foundation walls, installing an air barrier system in the cavity wall, and installing joint sealant on the exterior façade.

 

Our team also applied a self-adhering sheet membrane to the concrete foundation walls. For the air barrier, we used a fluid-applied membrane — treating the joints in the sheathing, detailing & wrapping the windows and other rough openings, then spraying the entire substrate with an air barrier using a man-lift for access.

 

We then applied joint sealant, using a caulk gun and the aerial man lift. The project was completed on schedule without any disruption to classes.
