BRIARWOOD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
In the summer of 2015 Simpson began work at Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, AL waterproofing the below grade foundation walls, installing an air barrier system in the cavity wall and installing joint sealant on the exterior façade. Our team applied a self-adhering sheet membrane to the concrete foundation walls. For the air barrier we used a fluid applied membrane treating the joints in the sheathing, detailing and wrapping the windows and other rough openings, and then spraying the entire substrate with an air barrier using a man lift for access. Using a caulk gun and an aerial man lift for access we then applied joint sealant. This project was completed on schedule while working around a functioning school without any disruption to classes.
