The Simpson Story
Ed Simpson, an entrepreneurial minded tradesman at the time, founded Simpson Construction in 1948 as a union shop. The company started out working on residential projects and military buildings. After Ed’s passing in 1972, his son George Simpson II took over as owner of the company and started expanding the services offered by Simpson. He grew the company to work with different types of exterior products, EIFS, fire proofing, and metal paneling.
In 2008 Richard Riley bought Simpson Commercial Contracting, Inc’s assets and started his own company with most of the Simpson Commercial tradesmen and workers. The new company was called Simpson Plastering, LLC and Richard is the current CEO/ President. After purchasing the company, Richard started organizing the company by promoting new project managers from within. This made it possible for Simpson Plastering to not only thrive regionally, but also allow the company to do the work they had been doing in Alabama anywhere in the country. His strong vision took Simpson from a regional business to a business that could compete and operate on a national level.
For over sixty years the Simpson name has maintained a strong reputation for their quality work, product knowledge, and speed.
